Celebrate Your Wins (No Matter How Small)
Fluffy here says it's time to recognize and celebrate your WINS! :)
This time of year it's easy to feel disappointed about things that were not achieved over the past year.
Perhaps a weight loss goal wasn't reached... or a promotion at work didn't happen... or personal finances feel out of control... or there is a feeling of disorganization and chaos.
We can be hard on ourselves, especially when images on social media make it seem as though everyone else has their act together. We compare others' highlights with our bloopers.
But before looking ahead to the year ahead, I encourage you to spend a little time thinking about your own WINS from 2017.
What are some things that went WELL for you this past year?
Did you learn something new? Meet someone new? Make a bold decision? Do something that took courage? Create something beautiful? Accomplish something important?
What did you care about?
What did you work hard on?
Who did you help?
What made you feel proud?
What activities gave you a sense of health and vitality?
These are some of your WINS.
What were the conditions that allowed you to succeed? How can you create more of these conditions?
Recognizing your successes and building on them is motivating and empowering. So don't forget the important step of celebrating your wins!
Even if they seem small, they're a step in the right direction, and they hold important information about what works well for YOU.
Wishing you a happy and healthy new year with many more WINS!
